Throughout the session, employees of PwC were very seen engaged and inspired by the idea their company has attempting to integrate into their business operations. Several staff shared their opinions and ideas that led to interesting discussions and debates.
To further continue this enthusiasm amongst their staff and empower them into more action the company will also hold a plastic clean up trip for about 50 staff members on April 13th, titled 'Getting In Touch With Our Waste'.

PwC China has been striving to reach the next stage of sustainability with their firms both internally and externally. PwC is already a participant in Green Initiatives' textile waste recyling program, RE:FORM. Furthermore, recently, for Earth Hour 2019, PwC launched a stationary recycling campaign within their internal office.
The new policy puts waste into 4 categories: Hazardous Waste: waste that contains hazardous chemical substances, Food Waste: biodegradable waste such as food leftovers or organics, Residual Waste: waste that are contaminated by food or human waste, and Recyclable Waste: waste that are not contaminated and recyclable.
This shows how waste is collected, sorted, and disposed / recycled according to the new Shanghai Waste Management Policy.
