Doo+ Vibe Celebrate Social Innovation

Doo+ Vibe is a one-of-a-kind event, which will be held for the first time in China, that celebrates social innovation and everything with a social purpose.

What’s ours? To grow and maximize the social impact of all the dooers+ in our community and raise awareness towards social innovation, social responsibility and environmental sustainability.

Doo+ Vibe was born with the idea of building an ecosystem that brings together the major players in our society: social enterprises and startups, institutional investors, international organizations, global corporations, academic institutions, research and development centers, government institutions and the media. doo+ vibe serves as a platform for all those purpose-driven organizations of our global community to leverage their key resources and maximize their social impact. In fact, at doo+ we strongly believe that "together we are one" and we all have a role to play in building the change we want to see around us.

12 of the most interesting purpose-driven startups from Europe, South America, Mainland China and Hong Kong; 12 impactful solutions; 12 global and local investment groups.

Startups will be making use of an 11-meter-long LED screen, to give a 5-minute pitch on the stage in front of an investor panel and our startup mentoring team. They are now getting ready to inspire all doo+ vibe attendees and tell us more on how they are transforming some of the most pressing social issues into innovative solutions.

And now it’s your turn — do it yourself. doo+ garage is designed to help anyone kickstart their next great idea. Taking place within a very engaging environment, participants get to experience how to combine creativity and problem solving with social purpose, all while learning by doing from some of the most influential dooers+ of our global community.

Half of the plastic produced globally goes into products that are used only once, which creates a staggering amount of waste. It is estimated that 500 billion disposable cups are discarded into landfills every year. That’s one million cups a minute, every hour of every day of every year. Moreover, plastic bottles contain Bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical used to make the plastic hard and clear. BPA is an endocrine disruptor which has been proven to be hazardous to human health.

The doo+ vibe bottle swap station aims to reduce the ecological footprint of disposable cups and plastic bottles, starting with each small daily consumption, and raise environmental awareness of their impact. Bring an empty plastic bottle and exchange it for an OPUS Eco Reusable Bottle, made of Tritan, BPA-free, super light, and most of all, reusable! Free-of-charge OPUS Eco Reusable Bottles are available for the first 200 attendees.

Zero-waste design is a new way of thinking that forces fashion designers to challenge existing techniques. It involves fitting all the flat pieces of the clothing pattern like a jigsaw puzzle so no fabric is wasted. Considering that roughly 15% of the fabric is discarded when a typical garment is made, the cumulative effect of leaving behind no waste has far-reaching environmental consequences.

In its modern form, this dance has become a global phenomenon that continues to evolve both stylistically and demographically. This showcase, curated by Caster, highlights the positive aspects of self-expression and self-esteem, traits that have been making a large impact within the dance community in the last three decades.
