A Plastic Ocean: Screening and Training

On February 23rd, Global Shapers Shanghai will be screening “A Plastic Ocean” (short version, 22 minutes), following by a “Plastics are Forever” training, where they will tell personal stories, share opinions and discuss how to make better and sustainable choices on how we handle plastics every day.

“Plastics are Forever”

Launched in November 2017 by Green Initiatives in conjunction with Plastic Oceans and FINCH, ‘Plastics Are Forever’ is an impact project that will educate our youngest Shanghai citizens (primary school children) through to working professionals and corporate leaders about the toxic consequences of single-use plastic.

Tingting is co-founder of Heyshop, a one-stop e-commerce solution, helping both domestic and foreign brands to build and grow their own online presence in China. She is also a global shaper under World Economic Forum and a TEDx speaker.

Being a synchronized swimmer, a diver and a surfer in life, she has been highly involved in Project Aware to remove marine debris from every water she dives in, meanwhile she is also a resident speaker for Plastics Are Forever project powered by Plastic Ocean Foundation and Green Initiative to promote awareness of ocean preservation amongst urban dwellers in Shanghai.
