MeatFest: 100% Plant-Based

MeatFest. Yes, it is 100% plant-based and these alternatives have been in China longer than you think!

This festival is a family-friendly celebration of domestically sourced plant-based meat products, as well as mainstream chefs who support the movement toward a more environmentally conscious future.  This will be the best place to try a wide variety of products - a haven for foodies and food critiques alike.

Highlights

Showcasing brands from all around the country, some are well-known internationally and some are family owned, locally based brands.
Experience the history and stories that these entrepenuers and ventures have to share with us and how all of us can make a huge impact in reducing our carbon footprint together!
But what will amaze you is that plant-based alternatives have been around China for more than a 1000 years!

What to Expect

There will be meat. Enticing fragrances, sizzlings sounds, and amazing textures of plant-based meats.

Organizers

MeatFest is organized by the bilingual grassroots organization Vegans of Shanghai (VoS), a non-profit community platform that networks those interested in the vegan/plant-based lifestyle in the city. VoS is maintained by Plant Based Consulting, whose mission is to popularize plant-based lifestyle in China by providing marketing services to businesses and advocates.

Motivation

VoS were inspired by how "Beyond Meat" and "Impossible Burger" have changed how meat is perceived in western countries.

• Venue: No. 537 Haifang Road, near Line 7 Changping road, exit 4. The venue is a short 9 minute walk from the station.
