Beyond Tomorrow: Green Initiatives Annual Gathering

Green Initiatives is celebrating 13 years in China, and similar to previous years, we are inviting our community to mix around with each other, exchange energy and make meaningful connections!

13 years, 1,000+ events, several recycling projects and action campaigns, 30+ Tons of textile and e-waste saved from the landfill, 100+ Organisations succesfully served, 35+ interns and 60+ volunteeers later, and we are still here - more active than ever.

Join us for an evening of community, connection and fun, an evening to celebrate achivements and to say bye to our dear founder and friend to wish him well as he ends one chapter and moves on to start another.

Background

On 15th January 2009, Green Drinks Shanghai organized its very first monthly eco-networking event at the brand new URBN Hotel, also China's first carbon neutral hotel back then.

On 14th December 2013, Green Drinks was rebranded to Green Initiatives. On 15th January 2019, we celebrated our 20 years at the very place it all started i.e. China's first carbon-neutral hotel, the URBN Hotel.

While it was all started by Nitin, who now is preparing to move on to the next chapter of his life back home in India, he is also passing the baton to his team to continue the work of inspiring and creating impact.

And now, on 15th January 2022, we are celebrating how far we've come at the futuristic Planet One, where attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about our future plans, and say a final good bye to Nitin.
