In June 2012 we held our first documentary film screening event at URBN Hotel. 7 years later, in April 2019, we screened our 100th documentary!
To mark this achievement, we invite you to celebrate with us the power of community, collaborative learning and social impact. Documentaries raise public awareness, affect change, entertain, and change opinions on many different issues.
Join us for a night of conversation in remembering the films that inspired and moved us. We will be screening short clips from 4 to 8 minutes of our favorite documentaries from the last 100, touching on subjects such as: global warming, habitat loss, natural disasters, consumption, fashion, food, education, air, land & water pollution.
The films we will be screening are: Before The Flood, Inconvenient Truth, Racing Extinction, Chasing Ice, Under The Dome, Unravel, Demain, Plastic Ocean and Alphabet.
Whether you have seen these films or not, join us to watch and reflect the subjects presented through these powerful documentaries.
The past 10 years and 100th films have been a journey of growth for Green Initiatives, our partners and public. And the best part? As we’ve grown, we’ve been able to connect deeper with our community and friends. We believe the biggest barriers for change are people's lack of knowledge, that’s why we screen documentaries, we hope that information will empower all of us to act.
