Driven by these questions, filmmaker and artist Yann Arthus-Bertrand spent three years collecting real-life stories from 2,000 women and men in 60 countries. Working with a dedicated team of translators, journalists and cameramen, Yann captures deeply personal and emotional accounts of topics that unite us all; struggles with poverty, war, homophobia, and the future of our planet mixed with moments of love and happiness.
Green Initiatives' last film screening of the year, and our 112th documentary screening, Human is a 2015 documentary by French environmentalist Yann Arthus-Bertrand.
The film is almost entirely composed of exclusive aerial footage and first-person stories told into the camera. It was the first film to premiere in the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations, to an audience of 1,000 viewers, including the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
Screening will be followed by a short discussion with TBird Luv, a transformative artist, facilitator, mentor, and coach. She is also a motivational speaker and a much sought-after musician for stages such as The Global Summit, TEDxShanghai, and San Francisco, FEMTalks, Foxconn Xinzheng, Success 3.0, El Cumbre Tajin Festival, Lightening in A Bottle Festival, Yerba Buena Center for The Arts SF and Jazz at Lincoln Center New York.
Green Initiatives would like to document these questions through video and share it with the local community. We are looking for volunteers to support this initiative.
