‘Girl in Tails’ Film Screening with The Swedish Consulate Shanghai

In support of International Women's Week 2021, Green Initiatives is partnering with the Swedish Consulate Shanghai to screen, Girl in Tails, a notable work by Swedish female director Karin Swanström. This event is made possible through the support of the Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai. 


The film has come to be viewed both as a classic comedy and a pioneering feminist film from the Swedish “silent era” of the 1920s. The film revolves around Katja, who is about to graduate, but she has nothing to wear for the graduation ball. Her father, the eccentric inventor Carl Axel Kock does not spend much of his income on Katja while her brother...

Girl in Tails bring a rich experience by encouraging people to explore the diversity of identities.

Film screening will start by an introduction by Johan Enerbäck, Vice Consul (promotion), Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai, be followed by short discussion with the audience.
