On the eve of International Women's Day (IWD) 2022, Green Initiatives is inviting inspiring women who have been creating a social impact in their community as well as professional lives, who we proudly call "China's Superwomen", to share their stories of change with our community.

Bianca Yin, Organizational & Leadership Development Coach

With an educational background in Biomedical Science from Columbia University (NY) and a career in the tech industry, including, as Strategy Consultant and Program Manager of a Women’s Leadership Program at DiDi (Beijing), Bianca discovered her passion for developing human potential through her own transformational journey, and has dedicated her time to become a transformational leadership and organizational coach today.

Ellen Wu, Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Manulife-Sinochem Life Co

Ellen is Highly inclusive and culturally aware leader, coach and investor. She is an extremely social conscious leader who motivates her colleagues to embrace curiosity, change and openness to new technologies and display thought leadership. She demonstrates that women can be successful in technology and innovation, and has dedicated her personal time to building awareness on sustainability. She is an individual investor and a coach to a fast-growing sustainability consulting business, RESET Carbon, that's helping businesses reduce their global carbon footprint and meeting their carbon neutral goals. She thrives in building teams in complex cross-cultural and organizational environments, and drives value by leveraging the strengths of diverse backgrounds.

Lina Li, Co-founder, Unlimited Her

Lina is co-founder of Unlimited Her. She is in charge of Donor Advised Fund (DAF) of Unlimited Her in United Foundation. Unlimited Her is based in Shanghai with the mission of “Women empowerment", focusing on women's personal growth, rural girls' education and sustainable development issues.  Lina is a graduate of Tsinghua University and California College of the Arts,  founder of WeWonder Art&Design Center and former Managing Director of BlockChain Charity Foundation. After establishing Unlimited Her, she has summited Africa's highest peak Kilimanjaro 5895m, Qinghai Yuzhu Peak 6178m, and Qinghai Gangshikawei Peak 5005m. She has led team to raise ¥1.78 million RMB and Unlimited Her has supported 700 rural junior and senior high school girls for three years of scholarships.

Therese Trulsen, Lawyer, Wikborg Rein

Therese is Norwegian by nationality, and the first female lawyer sent to their Shanghai office since its establishment in 2002, who now leads their corporate team. Her work is primarily related to international transactions and corporate matters, including ESG assessment of private equity funds for institutional investors. She has a LLM from University of Southampton, a five-years Master of Jurisprudence from University of Oslo and City University of Hong Kong, a Bachelor in culture and social sciences with a major in Chinese from University of Oslo and Peking University (北大). Therese is also the first female chair of Norwegian Business Association China.
